Originally from the mountains of Northern California, Jenna LaMaster’s love for country music took root early, fueled by the 90s country hits that filled the cab of her family’s farm truck. Out on the professional rodeo circuit, she always traveled with her grandpa’s Martin guitar, leading worship at Cowboy Church and hosting late-night singalongs. Eventually the barrel-racing western songbird realized her true calling was to write lyrics that make people feel seen and understood – the very reason she fell in love with country music in the first place.
Upon moving to Nashville, Jenna took a job at a local cutting horse farm while immersing herself in the city’s vibrant songwriting community. She soon signed a publishing deal and has since written songs for artists including Ashland Craft, Kasey Tyndall, Faren Rachels, Dylan Marlowe, and Jake Worthington. When it came time to develop her own artistry, Jenna sought out producers and musicians who could bring to life the timeless country sound she was raised on. Teaming up with the legendary Paul Franklin and Grammy-winning Glenn Worf, they created a collection of songs that showcase her powerful songwriting and unmistakable voice. In late 2023, Jenna released her debut single, “Drunk Thoughts,” a raw and vulnerable story of heartbreak that introduced her authentic sound to the country audiences. She has released five singles, including “Truth Is,” which has struck a chord with listeners through its message of resilience and hope in uncertain times.
Proving herself as one of country music’s promising new voices, Jenna made her Ryman Auditorium debut opening for Terri Clark, earning a standing ovation at the Mother Church of Country Music. She’s also shared the stage with fellow westerner Ian Munsick and the iconic duo Brooks & Dunn, marking just the beginning of her rise as a powerful new artist. Up next, Jenna is collaborating with songwriter and producer Lee Starr on her next collection of songs while continuing to write, record, and connect with country music fans everywhere.
