It's often called "the most fun Pro-AM I've ever played in," and for a good reason! Our second annual INK Charity Pro-Am featured three-person teams that were then paired with a professional player from the PXGWMPC field in our Pairing Party scramble.

Let's take a look back at a few of our fearsome foursomes that competed in this year's Pro-Am!

It turned out to be a Cinderella story finale after all at the 2022 PXGWMPC. 16th seed Josee Doyon knocked off the first, eighth, fourth and finally the tenth seed in the Championship Match to take home the $15,000 Champion’s check, her share of the $60,000 overall purse.

Doyon won emphatically, with birdies on six of the last seven holes in the final match against Singapore’s Amanda Tan, the tenth seed. One down in the Championship Match through seven, Doyon squared the match with a birdie on 8. She then birdied on holes 9,11,12,13 and 14 on her way to a 4&3 upset.

Doyon also beat the 4th seed, Ji Eun Baik, 4&3, in the morning’s semifinal match. Baik is a three-time winner on the , of which the PXGWMPC is an official event. Doyon’s toughest match was Saturday afternoon’s quarterfinal match against local favorite 8th seed Auston Kim. That match went the 18-hole distance in a see-saw battle, in which she needed five birdies to overcome the six made by Kim.

The match to decide third and fourth place was a State of Georgia showdown, pitting LPGA veteran Jean Reynolds against Baik. Down since the first hole and eventually 4 down through 11, Baik fought back hard, whittling it to just one down going to 16. Reynolds drained her fourth birdie of the match on 16 and closed out the match on 17 to finish third in the unique match play tournament.

The Final Four – Doyon, Tan, Baik and Reynolds each endured 138 holes during the week, playing 36 holes on Saturday and again on Sunday. In the morning’s semifinal matches, Doyon knocked off Baik 4&3 and Tan beat Reynolds 2&1 to set up the Finals. The last woman standing was Doyon.

CONGRATULATIONS to 2022 PXGWMPC Champion Josee Doyon — who receives Flop, our coveted trophy supplied by — and the rest of the Final Four: runner-up Amanda Tan, third place Jean Reynolds, and fourth place Ji Eun-Baik!

Yesterday’s Battle Round accomplished its goal of creating drama. The morning started with 64 players warming up under the lights on the Slammer & Squire Golf Course at World Golf Village in St, Augustine and wrapped up with the final group checking scores by flashlight as the PXGWMPC field was culled to its final 16 players. This unique professional women’s golf tournament heads into its match play Knockout Rounds tomorrow.

Appropriately, the most dramatic group play included the local showdown in Group E, pitting (Ponte Vedra Beach, Nease High School) against Jacksonville’s , the current number one ranked Junior in the world. Schroeder joins as the only two local players to advance to the Knockout Rounds. Here's a quick recap of Group play:

The stage is set for tomorrow. When the spotlight turns back on, only 64 competitors will be left standing as we head into Friday's round at the breath-taking Slammer & Squire Golf Course in . There, the future superstars of professional women's golf will slug it out in a thrilling tournament format like you've never seen before.

Tomorrow, our tournament will transition from the Stroke Play format to the highly-anticipated Match Play Championship. Here’s the BATTLE PLAN:

Each of the 64 who made it to Match Play have been placed into 16 “Pods” of four. Within their Pod, each player plays one another once in a nine hole match -- and yes, they will play 27 holes tomorrow!

Here’s where it gets interesting: it is not the player with the best won-loss record to advance. ➡️The player who advances is the player with the most points in her pod. ⬅️ They play all nine holes -- regardless of who wins the match, and regardless of which hole she won.

Winning the match *is* still important as the winner gets a bonus point, with each match worth 10 points. The players with the most points in her pod after her three matches advances to the Knock Out Rounds, starting with the Sweet 16 on Saturday morning.

🤳 You can follow the action as it happens on our LIVE SCOREBOARD at PXGWMPC.com, or catch on-the-course LIVE STREAMS throughout the day right here on the official PXGWMPC Instagram account. 🏌️‍♀️

Today's Final Round of the Stroke Play Qualifier was every bit as thrilling as day one. Natasha Oon rocketed her way to the top -- thanks to an astounding clean-card, 8 birdie afternoon to close out her 68-64 (-12) performance.  Our overnight leader Bailey Tardy bounced back after a shaky start with a 5-under (31) coming in to grab second place, but it wasn’t enough to catch Oon.  Congratulations to Natasha, our PXGWMPC Stroke Play qualifier winner and now top seed as we enter the Match Play Championship!

The heat was turned up even more near the cut line. Micaa' Thomas and Sophia Warren battled back and forth as it took four playoff holes to determine the final spot in this weekend's Match Play field. Take a look at the updated scoreboard at https://ecwpgt.com/Scoreboard?TournamentID=20232.

Our 64 remaining competitors will take a break from the action tomorrow to join the Generation W Links to Leadership Summit -- a full afternoon of connecting, mentoring, and motivation, presented by Circle K and Baptist Health.  Our athletes as well as the women’s college golf teams of UNF, JU and Flagler College are guests of Generation W and the PXGWMPC for this impactful day celebrating women.

Good morning from World Golf Village's Slammer & Squire, where we are all set to tee off for Round 2 of the PXG Women's Match Play Championship! After yesterday's thrilling Opening Round, it's crowded at the top of the leaderboard, but the drama is even bigger at the cut line.

In a two-day qualifier after which just 64 of the 86 players in the field advanced to the Match Play Championship, Bailey Tardy left nothing to chance. Tardy landed seven birdies on her way to a six-under 66 (34-32), with just one bogey coming on the tough par four 17th hole. Tardy has a one-shot lead over Tampa’s Cindy Lacrosse (for the stroke play title, both women all but securing their spot in Thursday’s Match Play-opening Battle Round.  Tardy, of Peachtree City, GA, played her college golf at the University of Georgia and finished this year’s Epson Tour season at 11th on the tour’s Official Money List.

Lacrosse went out with a ho-hum even par front side (36) on the Slammer & Squire Golf Course with one bogey and one birdie and came back to the clubhouse on absolute fire, posting 5 birdies for a 31 to rocket up the leaderboard. An LPGA veteran with too many big stage starts to list, Lacrosse played her college golf at the University of Louisville. Also, in the top three are recent Virginia Tech grad Keera Foocharoen (no stranger to the final group in an ECWPGT event), Nannette Hill (Jupiter, FL) and Natasha Oon (San Jose, CA).

But the real drama is at the cut line where there are 19 players hovering around the 64th position, which right now is 6-over par.
