Many companies have ended remote work arrangements that began during the coronavirus pandemic. But San Francisco technology company Dropbox has no plans to return its workers to offices.

This is excellent news for remote workers across the state, those affected by rising gas prices and not to mention businesses like mine! Looking for a local office space for your remote workers needs? We’re right downtown and have two private offices and lots of space available at affordable prices!

Congratulations to the state workers AND the taxpayers of Vermont. The labor relations panel unanimously ruled that the Governor’s forced commuting for state employees violated the rules, the law, and the contract.

Let's be clear. There is ample evidence that:

1) Work productivity is high, and worker satisfaction is higher, with the option to work from home when such work is feasible.

2) There are many benefits for Vermonters when State employees commute less. More productivity, higher worker retention. Higher job satisfaction. And less commuter traffic.

3) More efficient use of taxpayers' money. The State does not need to pay millions in additional rent for unnecessary office space.

4) More accessible jobs for Vermonters who can apply and accept state jobs anywhere across the state without needing to move. Under Gov. Scott's mandate, you would likely need to move closer if you got the job. Remote work allows for a larger pool of applicants across the state.

While the Governor is mad that the state needs to reimburse the employees for the unlawful order he issued, he only needs to look in the mirror and reflect on the extra costs he has imposed on Vermont taxpayers.

Finally, the Governor chastised the board in a highly political way, blaming the board for a "flawed, biased decision made by a non-judicial board outside the court of law." But he appointed the whole panel, and it is 100% their job to arbitrate such matters. He even appointed the professional HR person who joined the unanimous decision. After 10 years in office, he still points fingers and blames others for the job he is supposed to do as the head of state. He cannot hide behind the legislature on this one.

Vermont’s dedicated state employees deserve more respect from Vermont’s Governor.

I can assure you all right now that if they happen to make their way up to Saint Albans, ICE will not find a homebase here at The Lofted Office. It’s what we old farts call a “no brainer”. Their violent, n**i behavior, racist profiling, and overall douchiness clearly goes against our Zero Tolerance Policy. https://theloftedoffice.com/zero-tolerance-policy/

An RFI released today details ICE's plans to rent co-working space for over 300 personnel nationwide

The Lofted Office will be closed the next two days for maintenance. Apologies for any inconvenience!

Hi guys! Have you tried calling and you haven't heard back? Because of the massive volume of spam calls to my work number, I'm a little concerned that people are getting blocked. If you've called and you haven't received a call back, try texting or reaching out via messenger. It's definitely NOT because I don't want to talk to you! Lol. Hope you are all enjoying this beautiful day!

Aww! What a great article for us by Josh Ellerbock! Thank you. :)
