We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our dear friend, Ted Conklin, owner of the American Hotel and our Sag Harbor Song Festival partner.
Ted was an early and integral supporter of SHSF. Without his generosity, enthusiasm, and belief in the festival, we would not have the successful celebration it is today. He loved welcoming our artists to the American for the entire week, making it feel like a true home. Ted has generously hosted our Wednesday meet-and-greets, bringing singers and the Sag Harbor community together, and delighted in gifting the beloved Sunday brunch before the final performance.
Ted’s love for music, community, and togetherness was felt by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, and his spirit will always be part of SHSF.

Sag Harbor Song Festival 2025 took place Sept 19-21, 2025 at The Church, a spectacular cultural venue in Sag Harbor, NY founded by April Gornik and Eric Fischl. Audiences were welcomed into a unique and special “salon” setting of brilliant music in three performances on consecutive days.

Singers Amber Norelai, Susanna Phillips, Cecelia Hall, David Portillo, Darren Lekeith Drone and Le Bu delighted the audience with an array of musical selections from the operatic repertory, operetta, Lieder, song and musical theatre, accompanied by Festival Music Director Bob Tweten at the piano.

The Festival is helmed by Artistic Director Brad Woolbright, who served for 43 years at the world-renowned Santa Fe Opera and Robert Tweten, Music Director, whose skill and musical prowess are well celebrated.

Sag Harbor Song Festival 2026 will take place at The Church, Sag Harbor Friday Sept 18 to Sunday Sept 20, 2026.

SHSF was one of those truly great experiences that every singer longs for. Every singer was absolutely world-class, every collaboration was a true pleasure... The team of Brad Woolbright and Bob Tweten is absolutely unmatched, and I would gladly have bought a ticket for any event that they put together, but this surpassed even those very high expectations.
