Thank you for making the 10th anniversary Safety Harbor Gobble Wobble a huge success!! Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center will post the event totals on this page soon, they just need some time tallying everything up.

We passed out approximately 400 buttons, so hopefully you received one. If not, our apologies, it was a larger than expected turn out.

A big thanks to all those who came out. We always love seeing the community come together for this event and we hope you all will keep it going!!

LAST POST before the big day!!!

A few last reminders:

1. Come early - parking will be much different this year!! The marina is closed due to construction. Enter on the north side of the Safety Harbor Spa to get to Waterfront Park.

2. The start time is 8:00am SHARP!! We start and finish in the same place - in the Waterfront Park in Safety Harbor.

3. Yes, the event is STILL FREE!!! It's always been free! We don't make money on this event - it's completely run by volunteers who love Safety Harbor. We only ask for donations to feed the local hungry. Bring non-perishable food items or monetary donations, IF YOU CAN. If not, no worries, come anyway and enjoy the morning with us.

4. Stop by the "official" tables to sign your waiver before 8:00am so you can participate. The earlier the better.

5. It looks like the weather will be BEAUTIFUL - if you consider "beautiful" in the low to mid 60's with cloud cover, Denis Phillips
Ask Mr. Rule #7, he knows.

6. Runners- start near the front. Walkers and small children - start near the back. Let's stay safe.

7. This is a "non-official" event - there won't be any police closing off streets - so be careful and respectful on the course.

8. Everyone is welcome. Runners, walkers, crawlers, old, young, and well-behaved-leashed-picked-up-after- pets (don't be THAT pet owner) . Stroller, wagons, kids on bikes, possibly the relatives you can stand, just come on out.

9. We don't have official water stations - bring your water bottle.

10. #10 - it's the 10th anniversary of the Safety Harbor Gobble Wobble - look for Maddy, she has a limited supply of souvenirs for this event.

Get ready Wobblers, the big day is coming fast!!! With the Gobble Wobble starting at 8:00am sharp, you'll have plenty of time to finish the 5k, catch most of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (starts at 8:30am), and get the cooking done! Start your day off right, come enjoy a walk/run with us.

We encourage Wobblers of all sizes to come out to this event. Bring the tiny ones, small ones, normal sized ones, all sizes are welcome!!

Wagons and strollers are permitted - please start in the middle to back of the pack for everyone's safety. "Real" runners - go to the front - the rest of us will be in the back drinking coffee, chatting, and cheering you on.

Well behaved leashed pets are permitted - dogs, cats, husbands, just make sure you bring them water and pick up after them - nobody likes to step in surprises.

Be sure to bring bottled water as we don't normally supply it on the 3.1 mile (that's 5k for you European folk) course.

Check the weather and dress appropriately - unless its a downpour, thunderstorm, H word, or similar, the event goes on!

Come early - parking will be a bigger issue this year. 8:00am start time - we're prompt!

THERE'S STILL NO ENTRY FEE!!! While EVERYTHING else has increased in price, our event is still FREE!! We only ask that you bring a donation, if possible - if not, please still come, the more the merrier. However, we do need everyone to stop by the tables in order to sign a waiver.

Bring your favorite Thanksgiving Costume - we love seeing all the costumes out there - including kids and pets!!

Finally, bring your family (leave the in-laws at home - just kidding), friends, and thankful friendly attitudes and start your Thanksgiving morning with us.
