"My name is Stanley Marcellus Simons, and I'm excited to be participating in the upcoming 30 Day Film Challenge.

I'm a filmmaker with a love for sci-fi storytelling, and I'm looking to connect with filmmakers, writers, actors, and fellow creatives who would like to join the project. If you're interested in collaborating and making something fun and memorable, I'd love to hear from you!"

"My name is Marcello Ghiorso I have always been super interested in movies and I feel like I have ideas that would do great in the big screen I am young and this will be my first official short film but I am excited to get into the community and hopefully learn and get better while trying to create the best that I can."

Sactown 30-Day Film Challenge Directors: Jacob Morales .jacobb and Adam Haupt-Vidales .gallery

They will be Directing together and I personally watched one of short films a few weeks ago at and they are phenomenal! These young Directors are ones that everyone should be keeping any eye on!

Jacob Morales: Jacob Morales is a writer-director born and raised in Sacramento, California. Jacob's style consists of a range of romance, surrealism, drama and comedy. Due to influence from writer-director’s such Kaufman, Wong Kar Wai, and Paul Thomas Anderson, Jacob aims to explore the introspective emotionality of the human experience with hints of comedic relief.

Adam Haupt-Vidales: Adam Haupt-vidales is a writer-director based out of Sacramento, California, whose work can be characterized by a strong connection to surrealism and psychological drama. His influences stretch from authors like Ling Ma and Franz Kafka to writer-directors like Pedro Almodovar, Guillermo del Toro, and Jean-Pierre Jeunet.

Sactown 30-Day Film Challenge Director: Lexi Dye .official

Lexi Dye is an American actress, director, and screenwriter born in California's Bay Area. From a young age, she loved making people laugh, performing for family and friends long before she ever stepped on a stage.

She began acting in childhood theater, her first major role was as a witch in Macbeth, and later expanded into film and television. In 2010, she began studying film with Sally Forcier. In 2019, she started training for Tv and Film at Studio 24 in Folsom. Launching her career that now spans independent and feature dramas, comedies, and horror films.
Behind the camera, Lexi continues to grow her creative voice as a director, writer, and producer, dedicated to crafting bold, heartfelt stories and carving her own space in the entertainment world.

In 2024, Lexi wrote her first Independent Short Film Drama called Second Chance. Which was nominated for seven awards, and won five of them. “

Sacramento: The SacTown 30-Day Film Challenge now has 30 Directors! That's not a typo, that's real! 30 Directors, 30 Films, 30 Days, and 1 City!

We already are pushing towards 100 People Signed Up for our Cast and Crew Call on July 18th and this Cast and Crew call will absolutely sell-out well before July!

So if you are an Actor/Actress, Cinematographer, Screenwriter, Producer, MUA, Location Scout, Craft Services, or even a just a Film Enthusiasts and want to be in one of these 30 Productions coming to the Sacramento Area, then we urge you to sign up for our Cast and Crew Call today.

Quick 30-Day Challenge update. We now have 26 Directors interested in participating in the Challenge. I can add up to 4 more and then I will close out the Director/Writers Participants.

You will have until May 15th to sign up.

Cast and crew members, we do have a Free Sign-up on Eventbrite if you are interested in getting cast in a film this summer.

Again,The Cast and Crew Call is July 18th at New Helvetia from 6pm-9pm. Our last Mixer there was sold out so please don't wait till the last minute, otherwise you might miss out. There will be up to 30 Projects so now is the time to sign up if interested.
