West Coast MegaGames West Coast MegaGames is a volunteer development house focused on designing social strategy gaming experiences for 25 - 100 players as 1 day events.

West Coast Megagames creates large-scale social strategy games where dozens of players work together, negotiate, scheme, and shape a shared story in real time. Our first event was Sengoku in 2015, when 58 players spent six intense hours leading rival clans through three years of war, diplomacy, betrayal, and ambition in 16th-century Japan. Now we are returning to Sengoku with a new edition built around everything we have learned since then. Megagames combine strategy, teamwork, negotiation, problem-solving, roleplay, and live event chaos. Players join teams, take on roles, make plans, form alliances, respond to crises, and help determine how the world changes. No prior megagame experience is required. New players are welcome. If you enjoy strategy games, history, diplomacy, politics, storytelling, or collaborative problem-solving, we would be glad to have you at the table.

Team assignments are going out today.

This is also the last call for sign-ups before we finalize remaining player placement.

Sengoku is a diplomacy-focused megagame set during Japan’s Warring States Period. Players will join clans, temples, and political factions competing through negotiation, strategy, intrigue, and war.

No prior megagame experience is required.

Final Sign-Ups for Sengoku: Fourth Edition

We are in the final stretch for Sengoku 4th Edition, happening Saturday, June 27th at Galaxy Game Cafe in Citrus Heights.

Sengoku is a one-day megagame of diplomacy, faction politics, negotiation, resources, military pressure, and shifting alliances set during Japan’s Warring States Period. Players join teams representing samurai clans, religious institutions, or the central government and spend the day trying to secure their position in a changing game world.

New players are welcome, and no prior megagame experience is required. The player guide is live for anyone who wants to get a better sense of the setting, roles, and game flow before the event.
