We will return, and we'll keep you updated when we do, just seemed it wasn't right to keep teasing everyone. See you soon everyone!

Hey everybody! So, as you might remember, the submission deadline was supposed to be tomorrow night. We hadn't been pushing submissions for a while because we didn't think it was the right climate to be soliciting submissions to an event when we were all just busy getting by on a day to day basis.

We've done some considering about our current plans and the plans over at the STAB! Comedy Theater for how things might look when things get back to whatever the new normal might look like, and we thought we should get ahead of pushing things back to where they might next work out.

So, with that in mind, the new dates for the 2020 Sacramento Podcast Festival are (tentatively) going to be July 17th - 19th.

We're going to be making website and facebook changes as soon as we can find the time, but we wanted to give you a heads up of where things were going, you know, as of now, knowing full well that this can all change again depending on how events continue to unfold.

We thank you for your patience and can't wait to hang out with you again when we're all allowed to.

Sincerely, the Sacramento Podcast Festival Staff

Cutting to the chase: Submissions for the 2020 Sacramento Podcast Festival are Officially Open!

Longer winded version: Hello everyone, it's coming up on that time again, the 2nd Annual Sac Pod Fest will be filling the last weekend of May at STAB! Comedy Theater and we're opening up submissions from now until the end of March.

We had such a great time last year, we decided we needed to make it even bigger this year, so we've added Thursday to the event, making it 4 solid days of the most fun podcasts from Northern California and beyond!

The submission fee is still just $10 and we're hoping to add all sorts of swag this year and encourage as much cross pollination as possible between festival shows. We have lots of fun planned and want you to be a part of it. You know, if ya wanna.

So submit today (or any time between now and April 1st) to be a part of STAB! Comedy Theater's biggest event of the year, the 2020 Sacramento Podcast Festival!

Did you have a good time at this year's First Annual Sacramento Podcast Festival? Well it would only have been possible at the STAB! Comedy Theater. Some might say that makes it Sacramento's Best Comedy Club. Wanna know how to make that thought more official? Cast your vote for that very thing via Sacramento Magazine's Best of Sacramento vote contest-a-ma-jig! We'd appreciate it, like, a super lot if you did. Thanks in advance.

Vote now for this year's Best of Sacramento. The winners will be announced in the October 2019 issue of Sacramento Magazine.

This is the day! ... Today and tomorrow. THESE! These are the days! ... And Sunday. Today, tomorrow and Sunday! This is the weekend! It's Pod Fest Weekend!

Festivities kick off tonight at 6pm with Alyssa Cowan's Letter Talk and run all the way through Joke Me Off with Nick and Saul, Sunday night at 9pm! Sure, there's some time off sprinkled in there, but over the next three days you can see 23 live podcast recordings from groups all over the country and much more close to home.

We at the Sacramento Podcast Festival and STAB! Comedy Theater are incredibly proud of this event and hope to see you over this weekend to enjoy all the hard work of so many talented people. It's going to be like nothing you've ever seen if only because it's quite simply never happened before. It's taken a lot of hard work to get to today and now we all just get to do shows for you and have fun. Come celebrate with us, the first annual Sacramento Podcast Festival !

Looks like we have to go out and get a couple copies of The Sacramento Bee this afternoon. A very nice piece about the Sac Pod Fest by cub reporter Kameron Schmid appeared online this morning (and one would assume in print as well)! Take a read and enjoy the fine words of fest participants Drew Absher, Parker Newman & Chris Khatami. They say nice things, and nice things are nice.

Also if you've got, say, super powers and some sort of signal watch that you'd like to give to a young reporter, so that he might be able to call you in case of trouble, Kameron would make an excellent and trustworthy choice of pal to any brightly colored heroic individual.

From May 31-June 2, STAB! Comedy Theater will host the first ever Sac Pod Fest, an idea that theater co-owner Jesse Jones said has been bouncing around for several years.
