Putting on a free public event in Sacramento comes with rising financial challenges compared to neighboring counties—from city permits to logistical costs. Raíces United Inc. is committed to keeping the event free for families and accessible to local vendors by intentionally keeping vendor fees low.

"This festival is for the people-and that means making sure families can attend without cost and vendors have a real opportunity to grow," said Olga Rodriguez. "We're building something with heart and intention. It may look different from past years, but that's because we're not recreating a cookie-cutter event—we're curating something meaningful, rooted in culture, and responsive to today's needs. As we rebuild, we know the community will support the evolution, because access matters. And free, inclusive, community-driven events like this are something we all deserve."

Raíces United Inc. is a new nonprofit grounded in Indigenous heritage and focused on supporting immigrant families, veterans, single fathers, and children through cultural celebration, advocacy, and direct support. The festival marks both a comeback and a bold new beginning.
