THE SACRAMENTO JAPANESE FILM FESTIVAL

The Sacramento Japanese Film Festival began as a one day festival, Japanese Movies at the Crest, in 2005. In 2010 it grew to a three-day festival with five films. In 2012, it expanded to eight films! The 2020 Sacramento Japanese Film Festival is cancelled. We will be back in July 2021. The Crest Theatre is closed and they are watching and waiting for word from the state and local governments to re-open. We wish everyone to stay safe and healthy.

It's Day 3 and the last day of the festival. We have 2 great films today, beginning at 2 PM with our comedy, "What a Wonderful Family! 2." Then at 4:20 PM, our closing film, "Forgive-Don't Forget," this year's documentary. Come join us in our presentation of the 2019 Emerging Film Maker Award to director Brad Bennett.
