RAGBRAI folks -- we are looking forward to seeing you in Sac County again this summer! Lake View and Early are hard at work preparing for your visit! If you had a good stay in Sac City two years ago, please help us out by voting for us in this competition. The winning town gets a mural painted at a spot to be determined. We are very proud of the public art in Sac City, but we would like to add to it. We need 500 votes, and we are just now approaching 400. RAGBRAI support teams -- if you didn't get a chance to see the World's Largest Popcorn ball when the ride stayed in Sac City two years ago, this year's vehicle route provides another great chance to do so. As you can see by the smiles of the East Sac first graders, it's a fun place to visit!

Sac City wishes all of the RAGBRAI riders nothing but cool temps and tail winds next week! While we are not hosting this year, we ARE very close to the vehicle route, and we're right on the way to Sergeant Bluff. If you have a chance, stop in to see our new look downtown, our amazing public art, and the World's Largest Popcorn Ball, if you didn't get a chance to see it last year. With less than two months to RAGBRAI 2022, we thought you would like to see some of the progress in Sac City since many of you stayed here in 2021. Our downtown renovations (sidewalks, street lights, banners, corner parks, etc.) are in the finishing stages. Many of you saw the extensive public art throughout the community, but we have added more in the past year, including our "falls" and "waterfowl." Also included is a picture of one you might have missed -- the eagle in flight. While you are in the area for this year's ride, stop through Sac City if you get a chance to look at the community while it isn't quite as busy as it was during RAGBRAI! :)
