The Big House

🤍 Brides of The Big House | 1977 🤍

We're turning back the clock to July 23, 1977, for our next beautiful Big House bride, Elizabeth Glen Burkhalter Lyons!

From her lovely bridesmaids gathered along the grand staircase to a treasured photograph with her mother, these images capture such sweet moments from a very special day.

The dresses, the flowers, the hairstyles, and even the furnishings offer a wonderful glimpse into The Big House nearly five decades ago!

We love looking back at the beautiful brides who have graced these halls throughout the years. Each one has left a little piece of her story woven into the history of this special home. 🤍

Different generations. Timeless traditions. A legacy of beautiful brides.

Every gathering adds another chapter to the story of The Big House.

🏡 If These Walls Could Talk…

Did you know The Big House was built in 1884 using square nails?

Long before modern construction methods, these distinctive nails were used to build homes like ours — and more than 140 years later, they're still part of what holds The Big House together!

Just one of the many little details that make this old house so special. 🤍

Reminiscing on one of our favorite fall weddings at The Big House. 🍂 Two years later, we’re still swooning over all the beautiful autumn details, pumpkins and al!

Wishing Lannise & David a very happy 2nd anniversary! 🧡
