We wrapped up our 46th show season with our awards banquet this evening. Many exhibitors were recognized for their achievements in the ring, on their project record books, and in extra show activities.

We thank Concord Volunteer Fire Department for hosting us tonight. We enjoyed the tasty meal provided by Midstream LPG.

Here are a few highlights from the show this year:

🌟This was the second year that we offered a sunshine class. The class was open to 4-H and FFA members with special needs. Their smiles certainly brightened up the day for everyone who got a chance to see this event.
🌟This year we had 72 exhibitors, just a few more than last year. Blake Hopkins was our judge and Eric Stogdale was the carcass show official. There were 66 market animals, 18% more than last year and 46 breeding animals.
🌟We had 28 novice showmen this year.
🌟59 animals were in the market animal sale. 92 unique buyers supported the sale.

We look forward to seeing you in 2027!

The 2026 CVLS Carcass Show was on Thursday. We appreciate Greenvalley Meat Processors and Peak’s Slaughterhouse for allowing our judge to visit and evaluate each carcass. Peak's opened up their doors to exhibitors and their families on Thursday evening. Our judge, Mr. Stogdale, did a great job explaining how carcasses are evaluated for quality and yield. Afterward, we enjoyed a tasty spread of snacks provided by the staff at Peaks.
