The CocoaSupply USA, Canada, Europe & Australia Regional Bar Showdown packages are heading out soon! Chocolate Makers that will be joining us for Year 3 of the Midwest Craft Chocolate Festival have the opportunity to do something special. This exercise will test their chocolate making techniques as well as their creativity. We welcome them to share their process along the way and VIP attendees on November 6th will have the opportunity to taste and score the results. Let the fun begin!❤️🍫

Attention Chocolate Makers! Now is the time to sign up for an amazing program we are launching at the 2026 Midwest Craft Chocolate Festival!

Regional Bar Showdown❗️
This is going to be such a fun experience for makers and VIP attendees. This does require participants (chocolate makers) to commit soon (early June deadline). So if you are signed up to be a vendor at the 2026 festival or are interested in doing so reach out now.

This program will work as followed:
will send the ingredients this summer allowing enough time for chocolate makers to craft the bar to our specifications but with their style (roasting profiles, conching times, ect - your way) as a plain dark chocolate.

Makers will prepare half of the batch simply as that and during the festival each participant will have to opportunity to tastes each others chocolate, same recipe - different hands. How will it be the same, how will it differ? And what can we learn from each other with this experience.

The other half of the batch will be reserved for their creativity. Makers will use the same plain dark chocolate as the base but they will need to add a local ingredient to it, either grinding that into the chocolate or adding it coarse when tempering.

The regional ingredient bar will be featured in a VIP tasting experience during the Friday session of the festival.

For logistics purposes this is only open to US and Canada mailing addresses. We do have another fun experience we will be making available for our further away international makers that we will post about soon.

As you might already know, the festival is a not for profit and the organizers are all volunteers. That’s not stopping us from going the extra mile. This year we were able to capture most of the talks from Saturday. We’ve uploaded them to YouTube & Spotify and I’ll be working on getting them on Apple over the break. Some from 2024 are also there.

One goal for 2026 is to remain engaged all year. So you might want to give them a follow to stay up to date. We have some fun plans I’m excited to share in the coming months.
