Every year the Pine Cone Olympics is a GIANT HIT! 🏆The Olympics Competition is open from 10am to 2:30pm this Saturday, October 4. Get there early so you have time to improve your score! ⌚️ Between 2:30pm and 3:30pm, you can still enjoy the Olympics - but just for fun, not as part of the official contest!! There are three Olympic events to compete in:
• Pine Cone Archery 🏹
• Pine Cone Hoop Toss
• Pine Cone Shot Put
There are four age categories each: 10 and Under, 11 to 15, 16 to 54, and 55 & Up. Each age group has 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, Male & Female. *You do not have to be present to win but be sure your phone number is legible so we can contact you and mail your prize!* Custom PCF medals will be awarded for each age/gender category!! Overall male and female winners will receive a Snowdrift toboggan family pack pass (for up to 4 people, valued at $110).

Compete the first time for FREE! Additional chances to improve your score are $2 for all others each round. ✨All proceeds go to the Marching Band from Rim of the World High School, who will be managing the activities. ✨

Also, a special activity at the Pine Cone Olympics is the First Responder Pine Cone Brigade! Our local partners (CHP, CAL FIRE, USFS, SBC Sheriff's COPs & Explorers, SBC Fire, Arrowbear Lake Fire and RS Fire) compete in the Pine Cone Olympics to take home the Pine Cone Brigade Trophy for their crews. 👨‍🚒⚒👩🏼‍🚒

NEW THIS YEAR!!! 🐕‍🦺🐩🐕🦮 Dog costume contest and pup parade at the Pine Cone Festival this coming Saturday, October 4! Register by 11:50a (by the stage) to join the contest, and the pup parade and judging start at high noon!!

✨Whatcha doing this coming Saturday, October 4th?!?! 🍂Welcome autumn to the mountains with the annual Pine Cone Festival!! 🍁This fun festival starts at 9:30a and goes till 4:00p. There will be a variety of vendors, food and drink galore, live music, arts and crafts, fun contests, games, and much much more!!🌲Admission and parking are freeeeee.... ✨

🚗ALL PARKING IS AT SNOW VALLEY MOUNTAIN RESORT 🚙, the Festival is located directly across the street at Rim Nordic. The best address to use for navigation is 35100 State Highway 18, Running Springs, CA 92382. There will be signage on the mountain: follow the signs, and we'll see you there!!

We are sorry to share that due to the USDA Forest Service announcement of a Forest Closure through November 30, 2024, we must cancel this year's Festival.

The Forest Service takes these actions in the best interest of public safety and we respect this.

In the meantime we will start planning next year's event- join us on October 4, 2025!!
