Pierce County Fair Provides "Project Tomorrow" Update Ahead of 2026 Fair
Rugby, North Dakota — The Pierce County Fairboard is proud to share an update on Project Tomorrow, a major improvement initiative launched in 2024 to enhance the fairgrounds and visitor experience for years to come.
Significant progress was made in 2025 with the completion of Stage 1, which included several key upgrades:
* Relocation of the Demolition Derby Ring
* Enlargement of the Rodeo Arena, including additional seating
* Relocation of the Carnival Grounds to create more usable space
* Development of new gravel roadways to improve access and flow
throughout the grounds
An aerial image of the fairgrounds highlights the successful completion of Stage 1, showcasing the new layout and expanded areas that will better accommodate events and attendees.
Looking ahead, Stage 2 is now underway in 2026, bringing additional enhancements such as:
* Installation of electrical infrastructure
* Installation of new water lines
* Addition of fencing for improved crowd control and safety
* Further expansion of the Rodeo Arena
Fairgoers are invited to see this next phase of progress firsthand during the Pierce County Fair, taking place June 25–28, 2026. Visitors will experience both the completed improvements and those actively shaping the future of the fairgrounds.
The Pierce County Fairboard extends sincere appreciation to the community for its continued support. These improvements would not be possible without the contributions, partnerships, and dedication of local individuals and organizations.
