The Applegate Open is stoked to announce we partnered with the Applegate Country Club who will host us after the 1st day of competition. They have a lovely outdoor area where you can soak up some sun, or some shade, and share stories with fellow race attendees. HQ-Wells Land will be open as well. But the ACC has delicious wood-fired pizza and cold beer for sale for you to enjoy:) See the events schedule for more details:

Hi pilots,
Just a short update on the status of the Applegate Open July 2-8, 2024
As I write this we have 70 pilots registered for the event. We are expecting a lot more but in case you were wondering we have a cost model that will allow us to run the event with as few as 60 pilots total between the two races. Our target is 100 pilots. So if you were looking at our registrration numbers and wondering—It’s game on!
We have recently been approved as a pre-PWC event. So those pilots wishing to compete in PWC events can get letters based on their placing in the Open Race.
In that light we have also made discount coupons to the first 10 of the top 15 NTSS ranked pilots register and confirm their attendance. It’s no secret that we do this to encourage their participation to increase their participation in order to increase the validity of the event and encourage more pilots to participate.
We also want to announce some deals for camping at Cantrall Buckley Campground. We have the group camping area reserved and will be offering camping at $5/day for volunteers and $10 for registered pilots. That rate can include up to two people, one tent and one car.
