IMPORTANT 2024 RODEO UPDATE...

After careful consideration, the Rothsay Areawide EDA made the difficult decision to revert back to the traditional "Prairie Days" weekend versus having the "Rothsay Round-up." While the rodeo was an excellent community event that drew in folks from all over, the challenges outweighed the benefits. The financial risk was greater than the City is able to absorb and is highly dependent on the weather. The number of volunteers needed to run an event like this is also more than RAEDA is able to take on. We sincerely thank all those that worked so hard to put the rodeo on the last couple of years and hope that our community will continue to support Prairie Days.

With that said, we will be hosting a kick-off meeting for anyone interested in joining this group for 2024! Monthly meetings will be held January-May with more frequent meetings in June and July. If you are looking for a way to get more involved in the community, make new friends, and be part of great cause, we'd love to have you!

Events that will likely be included:
Parade, car show, fireworks, games/vendors, pedal pull, and TC Street Dance.

This year's Round-Up was full of great weather (minus Friday evening 🤣), rodeo action

The car show is filling up, so come check out the cars and the vendors.

💥 Burnouts will be starting at 2pm.
..and when you're done at the car show, we're ready for you at the rodeo grounds!!!

Vendors are open.
Rock climbing wall is up (until 330pm)
Barrel Rides are ready to go.
Axe throwing is up & going (until 6pm)
Face Painting & Tattoos (until 3pm)
Inflatables are ready to be climbed on (until 530pm)

It's a gorgeous day, come spend it with us!

Don't forget...breakfast is ready for you this morning...so start your day off right!

Our New Life Church crew is busy cooking breakfast! Breakfast at the church will be served 7:30-9:30am. They will also will be driving out to the rodeo grounds and serving hot breakfast sandwiches - keep an eye out for a red and black RZR. Sandwiches are $5 each!

Today is the day!

We have one last vendor highlight for you...

Our drink vendors are Rothsay Powerhouse and Fergus Brewing Co., so swing on by for a nice, cold beverage!

Reminder, gates open at 4pm tonight, rodeo starts at 6pm!

The Lions Club is providing free will donation parking and will also have their Lions Duck Pond open for your kiddos to swing by...they are taking free will donations to help support Kamp Kace (which helps kids with cancer feel like kids).

ALL of our wonderful food and drink vendors will be waiting for you, too!
