New This Year – Family Trail Ride Riddle Fun!

We added something a little extra to this year’s Sand Bo**er Family Trail Ride… and it was a hit!

Along the 18-mile trail, riders kept an eye out for 8 riddles posted along the way. Each rider filled out an entry sheet with their answers as they rode, mixing a little brainpower in with the throttle!

One of the riddles:
“A finger or your right big toe, use it now to make you slow.”

The best part? The smiles on the kids’ faces were priceless. Watching them think, laugh, and work together made it all worth it.

Thank you to everyone who participated! We loved seeing you enjoy something a little different out on the trail! And thank you to members Dave and Cal Reese for the idea and the work you did to make this so much fun!

If you have photos of riders solving riddles or enjoying the trail, drop them in the comments, we’d love to see them!

Already thinking about how to make it even more fun next year…

Great turn out today for the family trail ride. Conditions were perfect. Feel free to add your photos. Will be adding a bunch after the weekend. See you all tomorrow for the Sand Goblin Enduro!

04/18/2026

Due to prior tornado damage from a few weeks ago, Saturday trail ride lunch will NOT be available due to fire department lack of help. Lunch will be available on Sunday as planned. Trail conditions today (Friday) were dry and dusty. Trails can easily use quite a bit of rain and still be perfect conditions for riding tomorrow. Two loops available for riding tomorrow that total 19 miles. Unlimited riding for registered riders.

Every year, long before the first rider rolls onto the trail, there’s a dedicated group of people already out there putting in the work.

Refreshing and repairing equipment and signs.
Laying out miles of trail.
Arrowing every turn so no one gets lost.
Clearing branches, brush, and anything else that winter left behind.

It doesn’t happen by accident.

It happens because of volunteers who care about the sport, the riders, and the experience we all get to enjoy for one weekend.

As we get ready for the 2026 Sand Goblin Weekend of Riding, we want to recognize the time, effort, and pride that goes into making this event possible.

April 18–19

Events include:
• 2nd Annual Antique Motorcycle Show & Ride
• Sand Bo**er Family Trail Ride
• Sand Goblin Enduro

Whether you're racing, riding, showing a vintage bike, or just coming out to be part of it, take a moment to appreciate the trails beneath your tires. A lot of hands made that happen.

Thank you Grand Kankakee Trail Riders club!
