As we close the book on the 39th Annual Ronceverte River Festival, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who came out and supported our community this weekend.
Friday brought unexpected challenges as severe weather moved through the area, causing damage to Island Park and creating unsafe travel conditions. While we were disappointed to cancel the parade, the safety of our residents, visitors, first responders, and volunteers had to come first. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support during that difficult decision.
Saturday reminded us exactly why this festival means so much to our town. From the crowds filling the park to the excitement of the Great Rubber Ducky Race, the smiles, laughter, and community spirit were incredible. We were thrilled to meet our duck ticket sales goal and celebrate together despite the challenges we faced the night before.
A special thank you goes out to our sponsors, volunteers, vendors, entertainers, first responders, and everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event happen. Thank you to Jake Hoot and Brett Mahon for providing outstanding performances and helping create a memorable evening for all.
Most importantly, thank you to our community. Your support, resilience, and love for Ronceverte are what make this festival possible year after year.
We are already looking forward to next year. If you would like to help make the 40th Annual Ronceverte River Festival even bigger and better, we would love to have you get involved.
From all of us on the Ronceverte River Festival Committee, thank you for helping make this year’s festival a success.
❤️ Stars, Stripes, and River Nights! ❤️
