Just a couple days off from having a semblance of a schedule. Meanwhile, have just confirmed King Baggott's THE HOME-MAKER from Universal in 1925, a UCLA digital restoration of this very critically-acclaimed film. (From the novel by Dorothy Canfield Fisher.) This will likely be in session #3 on Friday night (August 14), accompanied by David Peckham at the organ. The (more-or-less) complete Capitolfest schedule will be available very soon. Meanwhile, we CAN announce that we will be screening the Library of Congress' new 35mm restoration of the 1924 Vitagraph production, CAPTAIN BLOOD. Making his Capitolfest debut on the organ will be BRETT MILLER, playing his score derived from the original cue sheet. (Mr. Miller comes highly recommended by LoC's Geo. Willeman, who says, "his score for Captain Blood is PHENOMINAL.") For more info on Brett Miller, visit his webpage at: https://brettmiller.net/
(CAPTAIN BLOOD will be part of session #6 on Saturday evening, August 15.)
