Cleopatra Entertainment has released the first trailer for Street Survivors: The True Story of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Plane Crash, a biopic based on former drummer Artimus Pyle's life and account of that tragic day. Mickey joined joined Jefferson Starship in 1979 his voice had already become legendary after recording “Fooled Around and Fell in Love” with the Elvin Bishop Band. Jefferson Starship quickly proved to be the right decision as they recorded their first hit, “Jane”, almost immediately after getting together. In 1985, Starship released the album that would come to define the eighties, Knee Deep in the Hoopla. Added to the Coosafest Line up. For those people who think The Kentucky Headhunters began as part of the Garth Brooks-led country music revolution of the late 1980s and early ’90s -- think again.

The “bluegrass metalheads” had a whole other life as a rock and roll band dating back to 1969. Whatever you call them -- and their music (heavy metal bluegrass, southern rock, longhair country) -- The Kentucky Headhunters are still going strong, as they’ll show Rome GA on Saturday, September 6th when they play Coosafest for the first time Labor Day weekend

“Pickin’ On Nashville” won the 1990 Grammy for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, and featured four Top 40 singles -- “Walk Softly on This Heart of Mine,” “Oh Lonesome Me,” “Dumas Walker” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Angel.”

Mark has charted sixteen singles on the Billboard country charts, all of which made the top 40.

Of his albums, Wish You Were Here is the best-selling, with a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. This album's title track and the late 2002-early 2003 release "19 Somethin'" both reached No. 1; on the Hot Country Songs charts.

On Jan 11th, 2019, Wills was inducted as the 218th member of the Grand Ole Opry.
