Thanks to the the The Big Texan Steak Ranch & Brewery for bringing the 72 oz Steak challenge to Rolla Downtown and thanks to Sirloin Stockade - Rolla for providing the sides.

The solo steak eater did one heck of a job! Way to go! The “Fantastic Four” had an advantage, there were four of them after all. 🥩

We received the photo below from a guest at our event. He asked us to post this photo and said "my grandson had a ball!" What a great way to start the day. Thank you for attending Rolla's Route 66 Summerfest and we hope to see you again next year. We also hope you'll send us another photo, same general shot, we'll do a side by side comparison. ;)

Rolla is excited to welcome the Route 66 Main Street of America Centennial Caravan this Sunday, June 21 as it rolls into town on its cross-country journey celebrating 100 years of the legendary Mother Road. The caravan, made up of twelve classic cars, is traveling across all eight Route 66 states and stopping in communities along Historic Route 66 to celebrate the people, stories, and places that keep this iconic highway alive.

Also joining the caravan is the iconic Big Texan Steak Ranch, bringing their famous 72-ounce Steak Challenge to Rolla! Watch as a local competitor takes on the legendary meal from their restaurant in Amarillo, TX.

We invite the public to come downtown and be part of the excitement as Rolla becomes one of those special stops on the journey.

✨ Reflecting on Summerfest #32 — the one where we celebrated 100 years of Route 66! ✨

We knew the Centennial Celebration would be special… but WOW, did you all show up!

Over 12,000 people filled Downtown Rolla and Historic Route 66!

More than 210 beautiful vehicles lined Pine Street for the Route 66 Summerfest Car Show.

30+ motorcycles rolled in for the Motorcycle Show.

🎶 The Bandshell lawn was packed again and again.
🍔 The food lines were busy.
🎈 Kids laughed, danced, bounced, and played.
🎸 Music filled the air.
❤️ Memories were made.

And none of it happens without the people behind the scenes.

This is a great community event. Mark your calendars for July 18th!

We invite you to participate in our 11th Annual Kids Safety Day, scheduled for July 18th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Lions Club Park. The event will showcase various fire trucks and police cars, along with other vehicles and equipment. Representatives from Rolla Masonic Lodge 213 will be onsite, offering the Missouri Child Identification Program (MoCHIP). Additionally, attendees can participate in a bicycle safety course, and complimentary bike helmets will be provided to children while supplies last. If you have questions or concerns, or would like to register your business or organization, please reach out to Scott Proffitt at [email protected] or Stacey Smith at [email protected]. Organizations seeking booth space should note that they must be focused on promoting children's safety and preventing injuries. This event is rain or shine.
