NEW WORLD RECORD!!

Sabastian Sawe told the world he would break the record. He told the world he would be the first to run sub 2hrs in a competitive road marathon.

Today he set a new world record at the 2026 London Marathon with a time of 1:59:30, becoming the first person to run an official sub-two-hour marathon. His average pace was roughly 4:33 per mile. I say again, HIS AVERAGE PACE WAS 4:33 PER MILE!!! For fun try to run half a lap at that pace. Half way around the track in 34 seconds! You got this!!

With just 24 weeks until race day it’s great to see records like this be broken. You can’t be the best forever. There will soon be a new day 1 lap 1, a new contender and a new king 👑 🦁🏃.
