Congratulations to everyone that participated at PickHacks 2023! With over 110 Hackers, and 23 projects submitted, we wanted to give a special thank you to all of our participants, sponors, and team members that helped make this year's event possible. We had a blast getting to know each and every one of you, and are looking forward to seeing you back here next year for our upcoming Hackathon!

Meet our Finance Team! From left to right we have Dominic, Maggie, and Rahul. Our Finance Team handles our budget. Dominic is our sponsor man. He handles making connections and trying to get our sponsors. He even went as far as become the US second best airplane thrower just to get his name out there! Maggie’s spirit animal is a penguin and just like penguins, she dives right into her work. Maggie takes control of all of our emails to sponsors. Maggie makes sure everything looks professional and we are following our sponsors requirements. Rahul is a very caring guy, he cares about animals enough to not eat them and cares about Pickhacks enough to manage the finance team! The finance team is important to keep PickHacks free for everyone! If any of this team or other team posted seems exciting to you, we are looking for applicants! Applications open November 1st!

Meet our logistics team! Starting upper left to bottom right, meet Bradley, Jacob, Jack, Jonah, Lindsey, Ryan, and Matt. .. .. The Logistics team is responsible for actually putting the event together. The logistics team figures out what events might be going on during the event, what prizes may be available, what decor may be displayed, etc. the logistics team has lots of fun together, which is what we need! They are what makes the hackathon fun! . . Bradley has a love for volleyball. He felt so inspired by the refs making it all happen, he decided to join PickHacks’ logistics team. Jacob has a secret love for Pops Chock’Lit Shoppe, which inspired him for any food choices he makes for the hackers to eat. Jack is our logistics wildcard, he helps wherever needed in hopes that PickHack will one day give him a matron hoodie. Jonah doesn’t just know how to pull together a mean Chicken Alfredo, but he knows how to pull together fun activities to make a fantastic hackathon. Lindsey is pretty cool! She knows how to pick lock and find sweet swag for the event! Ryan is a pretty neutral guy, not really a cat person, not really a dog guy, this helps him make and manage the PickHacks’ schedule. Matt’s in the same boat as Ryan, he keeps everything running smoothly just like he does with his jazz! Everyone in the logistic team plays an essential part in keeping us Missouri’s largest hackathon!

Meet our marketing team! Going from left to right, we have Riley, Marcella, Maggie, Eddy, and Sabrina. . The marketing team is in charge of spreading news and awareness about PickHacks! The marketing team has a sub team, Design. The marketing team handles Email blasts, socials post, and any advertisements, while design assists with creating awesome logos, advertisements, and even the layout for our web page! .. A little bit about our team! Riley is pretty impressive when it comes to food, he can eat 3 Big Macs all at once, but what’s more impressive is the way he tackles all of our emails. Marcella loves to get after it with the zip lines, which are just as fun and creative as her design ideas! Maggie is another one of our team designers and she loves it as much as she loves her cute little chihuahua! Eddy is our main lead! Eddy is constantly keeping us all in check while taking on a huge work load. Without Eddy our team would fall apart. Eddy has had a lot of experience in leadership and even ran in a summer camp in China. Talk about a true leader! Lastly, we have Sabrina who takes on our role for socials. Sabrina tries to post a fun trivia questions on our stories twice a week! They are a nice little school break, and may possibly get you thinking!
