Christkindl Markt Rolla, Missouri The Rolla Christkindl Markt is modeled after a traditional Christmas market. This event is in honor of Rolla's Sister City of Sondershausen, Germany.

The event features food, entertainment, vendors and crafts for the children all set in an outdoor market. This year the Rolla Area Sister City Committee will be hosting a Chrstkindl Markt after the Rolla Christmas Parade. Expect bratwurst, gluehwein, and hot apple cider for the children, cookies and "bunte teller", entertainment from the Rolla Choral Arts Society and local choirs, local artists an

d an opportunity for children to make a Christmas tree ornament to decorate a tree in Sondershausen, Germany! More information will be found on this site in the coming weeks!

Preparations are WELL underway for Lichternacht and Christkindl Markt! A BIG THANK YOU to the tent crew, and all who helped with staging today and this evening! The stage is set for another two days of celebrating the holiday season in Rolla! If you want to get involved, stop by the festival lots anytime after 10 a.m. on Friday morning, plenty of fun jobs to be shared! Santaquist

A limited supply of Lebekuchen baked by the RTI Culinary Arts program will be available for purchase at the RASCA food booth in the Food and Entertainment tent at Lichternacht and Christkindl Markt. Don't miss out on this traditional delicacy! There will also be Gingerbread kits available: fresh baked gingerbread cookies with all of the supplies to "decorate your own" cookie!
