Franklin County Court Days It has been revived as a celebration of this cultural time with a new twist...making music and memories. FREE ADMISSION

Court Days was a time when people came to Rocky Mount to do business and socialize...it just happened to coincide with the traveling circuit court judge's visit! As part of the "Mountains to Music Homecoming" we are proud to have a great afternoon planned for the community. A fabulous line up of music including After Jack, David Mayfield Parade and the Lonesome River Band. In addition there will b

e a Kid's Zone, ole timey competitions, a play by Rex Stephenson, storytelling, additional entertainment and a wonderful selection of food and craft vendors. A portion of Franklin Street will be closed with the music taking place in the street. Please stay tuned for more info and be sure to mark this on your calendars.

It was so hard to make the decision to cancel the event today....we had so much planned and it would have been such a fun time. But it was the right one!
The culinary ambassador from Friends of Southwest Virginia was already here and was prepared to do his cooking demonstrations at the Farmers Market. Using all local products he made omelets, skillet pizza and a fabulous soup.
We all got to taste these delicious dishes as well as watch him prepare. The Bake Off entries had already been submitted...so we held that competition and then got to sample the baked goods too. Nancy Hodges won with her coconut cake! Your Miss Viginia representatives for Crooked Road and Franklin County stopped by too.

Community Partnership regrets to inform you that we are cancelling our 2019 Franklin County Court Days event due to the weather.
This was a very hard decision to make and we were trying very hard to make the event happen. So many vendors and performers had to cancel we felt this was the best decision.
