We are only 2 weeks away from our 15th Annual Sweet Corn Festival! Things are really coming together now. Mark your calendars to be at Rocky Mount Fire Station 1 between 10a and 4p on August 30th to help support your local volunteer fire department and your local vendors!

All the vendors have secured their spots! See the attached spotlight to find out who we will have this year!

The Food has been ordered and we will soon be making the journey to bring back A LOT of FARM FRESH SWEET CORN!

Raffle tickets are starting to sell! Please remember there is a strict limit of 200 tickets sold for each of the red, yellow and green tickets. Get yours before they are gone! The Blue tickets will be sold until the end of the event.

We have received numerous donations from local retailers, restaurants and neighbors to raffle off this year. The tickets for the raffle will be sold at $1 per ticket and you can drop as many tickets as you want on as many items as you want! We have several different color tickets going around this year between raffles and games, so make sure to specify which raffle ticket you are wanting to make sure to get the right color!

Of course we will still have all the fun and games from years past!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again this year for another fantastic year at the Sweet Corn Festival!

A couple weeks ago we had a couple of our mutual aide partners, Eldon Fire and Tuscumbia Fire, over for some live burn practice. The use of our training facility allows us to practice tactics and strategies with mutual aid partners, making everyone more efficient on fire grounds. Just another great use of funding provided by the Sweet Corn Festival.

For those that haven’t heard. We have been doing a raffle for our fellow firefighter dealing with difficult times. We drew a white/blue ticket tonight and the winner has been notified. We would like to thank everyone that participated in the raffle.

Due to an overwhelming response we purchased a second pew pew identical to the first and are selling blue tickets for that raffle. If you would like to get in on the raffle please see your favorite firefighter or stop at station 1 to purchase tickets. $20 per ticket, max 200 tickets sold. Any tickets not sold prior to the event on April 27th, will be sold at the event.
