⚔️ Armageddon is Happening at Billie Creek! ⚔️

Welcome back to Belegarth for their annual event at Billie Creek!

Now through Saturday, visitors are welcome to experience the sights and sounds of this medieval combat gathering. Watch battle games, browse vendors, enjoy food, and see the village filled with activity.

🕙 Public hours are daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
🎟️ Admission to visit is free, but we ask that all visitors check in at the Welcome Center upon arrival.

Interested in joining the action? Participation in classes, battle games, and other event activities requires registration and payment of the event fee through Belegarth.

Please remember that outside of public hours, Armageddon is a privately reserved event. We appreciate your respect for the event and its participants.

A note for Sunday visitors: while Billie Creek will be open as usual, Sunday is pack-out day for the event. Expect heavier traffic throughout the property as participants prepare for their journeys home.

⚔️ Welcome back, Amtgard! ⚔️

We’re excited to welcome Amtgard back to Billie Creek for their annual event, Scholomance!

From Thursday through Sunday, these medieval foam sword fighters will “invade” the village for battle games, classes, and all kinds of fantasy-filled adventure.

While participants will be on site Thursday through Sunday, pack-up and cleanup is on Sunday. The main excitement for visitors will be Friday and Saturday.

Visitors are welcome to stop by during public hours, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Please note that outside of public hours, this is a private reserved event for registered participants, and we ask that guests respect the privacy of the event and its attendees.

What a wonderful morning Sunday was for the very first It Takes a Village 5K at Billie Creek.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this event possible — our incredible sponsors, event coordinators, volunteers, supporters, and especially our 33 participants who zig-zagged their way through Billie Creek on what was certainly a creatively expressive course!

From covered bridges and village pathways to gravel, grass, and a little mud, you embraced every twist and turn with enthusiasm and good spirits. Congratulations to every single participant. You helped launch a brand new Billie Creek tradition, and we could not be more grateful.

Thank you as well to Parke Vermilion Humane Society for joining us and helping make the morning even more special.

This was Billie Creek’s first-ever 5K, and like any first event, we learned so much along the way. We are incredibly thankful for everyone’s patience, encouragement, and excitement as we brought this idea to life.

Today we pause to remember and honor those who have served and sacrificed for our country. We are deeply thankful for their courage and service.

Billie Creek is open today until 4:00 p.m. — including The Gaebler Café, the General Store, and the village grounds for exploration.

It’s a beautiful day to gather with family, enjoy a picnic, and spend a little time making memories together. We’d love to welcome you for a visit. ✨

Good morning — it’s race day!

The weather looks like it’s going to hold off for us, and we are so excited to welcome everyone to our very first It Takes a Village 5K at Billie Creek! While the skies are cooperating, please expect wet course conditions and be prepared for soft ground in some areas.

Please note: Check-in has been moved to the Livery Barn.

The Livery Barn will also be home to our meet-and-greet with the adoptable dogs from Parke-Vermillion Humane Society, so be sure to stop by and say hello!

Check-in begins at 8:00am, and the race kicks off at 9:00am.

Thank you all for your support, patience, and excitement as we launch this brand new event. We’re looking forward to cheering everyone on and sharing a wonderful morning together at Billie Creek.

🌿🪵 A balance of restoration and infrastructure — it’s a constant part of caring for Billie Creek.

While we’re always excited to preserve and restore the historic village, we’re equally focused on improving the property to better support our growing events and guests.

Our latest project is this new pad for storing firewood for reenactors and event participants. If you visited during Civil War Days, you likely saw the countless cookfires throughout the camps. Keeping that wood dry helps make our volunteers’ weekends a little more comfortable and enjoyable.

Every improvement, big or small, helps Billie Creek continue to grow while honoring its history. ✨
