Our purpose is simple: To preserve and present, through our annual Dover Drag Strip Nostalgia Drags the legacy of Dover Dragstrip, that operated From 1961 to 1976., in Wingdale, N.Y. It has an informative forum, of over 1500 former Dover Fans-Racers and those that share the passion for the Legendary track that operated from 1961 to 1976, in Wingdale,N.Y. lick on "Galleries", you can access 5000+ photos,donated through the years of 'all Dover shots".The website generated a concept to get the 'gang' back together and race again as in the old days. In 2009 the first "Dover Drag Strip Nostalgia Drags " at Island Dragway was held.The event was expanded to two days, just to get more social time. In 2011, the 'party' was moved to Lebanon Valley Dragway,and was expanded to three days to include 7 'vintage' eliminators , Funny cars -extreme altereds ,vendors and special visiting Nostalgia Groups .Plus a big Rod & Custom Car Show & a Nostalgia Race Car Display were added on Sunday. The Website, page and The Dover Event, are all administrated by "Dino" Lawrence. He was the track announcer from 1967 to 1972, but stayed active til 1974. As the track' PR' guy, he coordinated advertising ,special events ,and designed all the programs, t-shirts,and signage .Many of his original design work (t-shirts-decals-signs & banners )have been recreated at his www.dragstripsgone.com online store. Its Dover All Over, for the 18th Year of the annual 3-day non-stop drum solo of the northeast’s Première Nostalgia event .This year It falls on Sept.25,26,27 at Lebanon Valley Dragway

Keeping the memories alive of the famous Dover Drag Strip in Wingdale, N.Y. that ran from 1961 to closing in 1976. It was the first high traction asphalt Quarter mile track, preceding
Connecticut Dragway, Lebanon Valley Dragway, Englishtown Raceway Park and New England Dragway and Island Dragway . Keeping with
the Nostalgic theme, All Race Cars in Competition and Sunday car show entries will be 1992 or earlier. They’ll be plenty of action on the track, starting on Friday for Test & Tune. Saturday will feature more test shots ,Plus the SUPER CAR Series and NODRAME groups holding the first of their two-day points eliminations. SUNDAY Is Jammed packed with 8 Nostalgia Eliminators , 200 Mph Funny Cars, Extreme Altereds, Front Engined Dragsters and Supercharged Gassers in exhibition match races. Saturday & Sunday also features A Swap meet along with plenty of commercial vendor displays .Sunday also will feature our exclusive “Drag Alley” nostalgic Race Car Display. Once again Glenn Richards and his entire staff, will run the Big Sunday Rod & Custom Show at the 18th annual Dover Drag Strip Nostalgia Drags at Lebanon Valley Dragway .
Caping the three-day Northeast’s Premier Nostalgia event, featuring 1992 & earlier entries vying for the huge 3ft Best of Show trophy and top 40 awards.

the Hits Keep coming Our Sun. Car show Now A RING EVENT !

As many of you know, I’ve been producing The Dover Drag Strip event since 2009, making this our 18th year coming up.
And Every year we add more “stuff”. This year for our Sunday Time Tunnel Rod & Custom Show , it’s Now A RING EVENT !. Along with our top 40 Awards and Best of Show Giant Trophy, The Top 15 will get a Kool winners Ring . So, we made the list ! All a part Of Don Clady’s Car Show ring events concept . Sunday will of course feature our usual 8 Nostalgia Racer Eliminators, all 1992 and earlier…. “The northeast’s premier Nostalgia Event” Plus Special exhibition match races of Super charged 200 MPH nostalgia Funny Cars, Extreme Altereds, Front engined Dragsters and Blown Gassers! ‘ And we’ll have some more surprises in store to be announced in coming months here at our Dover Drag Strip page. So, stay tuned, Get your motor spinning , this is only the beginning .
