IRONMAN 70.3 Rockford-Illinois Rockford boasts a rich history, a vibrant cultural scene, and a beautiful natural setting perfect for hosting the first ever IRONMAN 70.3 Rockford-Illinois!

The swim course will take place in the Rock River that runs North to South through the center of downtown Rockford. The swimmers will enter the water near the sculptures of the Rock

This bike course will be a 56 mile loop that takes athletes through the area North of Rockford. Participants can expect gently rolling hills and scenic farmland from the surrounding area. We are working on having the

riders pass through Rockton Township as one of the landmarks for the bike course. For this course the riders will depart town to the north and return from the west. The run course will take runners from the transition area at Davis Park on a two loop journey on the east and west banks of the Rock River. Runners can expect river views, park greenways, tours of scenic neighborhoods on their way to a finish in downtown Rockford just a couple of blocks away from transition.
