Just checking in.

I'm still waiting on one permit, hoping to have it within a few weeks. I don't think I'll post full before photos until the end. Makes it more fun.

Muscadines are thriving though. They love all the rain. 🚂🍇

Warning long post! Read it all!

So I'm sure some of you have figured out what I'm doing. Keep it a secret because that's how this will work. 🤫

In short, I own almost 7 acres of property that I'm turning into a craft studio and wine experience. It will be for small group experiences and be speakeasy themed. This means, that guests will not get the address until they book. The outside will not look anything like the inside. There will not be any kept hours. Booking will be the only way to gain access.

I won't be a candle store, a winery (even though that's what the government calls it), a bar, a restaurant , etc. I'll be an experience sprinkled with all of those things.

There will be an air b&b element to this, but I'll be starting with my Harvest Host customers first. This will be a seasonal business.

But before all of that, I have a lot of construction to do (permits are in).

On the wine side, grapes are in the ground and will be crossed with my wild grapes to make an estate wine. That takes years though, so I'll start with wine from juice as I was planning to do before. I will have a wine club and I will have the ability to ship wine and sell wine to retail.

Candles. I will have a special way for my loyal customers to still get my candles and wax melts. Once I am ready to go next spring, that will be announced.

Why Handicraft? Because I don't want to stay in the candle maker box any longer. I know how to make a lot of things, so eventually those items will be part of an experience package.

Why Railroad? Again, those who know me really well know why. But the roots of my business started in a town with rich railroad history during the prohibition era. So back to my roots I go and where I will stay.

So follow me on this massive construction journey starting at the end of the month. Not all will be revealed, but just enough. 😉

My last post disappeared, how fitting. 🤣

Over the next couple days I'm removing any remnants of old branding. When I'm done doing that I'll give a short explanation of what I'm doing. However, the business model is meant to stay secretive. 😉

This is all you're getting for now. 🤣

Stay tuned, this is going to be the biggest change yet. 😉
