Rock City Community Center Rock City Community Center has been created as a space for community activities. It can be rented for events, and we hope to present interesting programming.

Everyone with an interest in the Rock City Community Center should attend Monday night’s meeting of the Rock Run Country Historical Society. Big decisions need to be made, and I want everyone’s input.

Monday, April 20 at 6:30pm. Please use the Jefferson Avenue entrance since the Main Street entrance is gone for now.

The front steps have come down! We hope to have some interesting changes this year to make the building truly accessible for the elderly and disabled. More to come.

We have a new initiative starting soon. It’s called Loansome Chapters. They have their own page if you click on the link. It will be a community library and tutoring site. There will be other programs associated with it, so please check in frequently!

The Rock Run Country Historical Society is exhibiting their collection of memorabilia on local one room schools every 2nd and 4th Sunday from 1-4 for the rest of the summer. Stop by and check it out!

Sunday, May 18 - Historical Society exhibits Main Streets of Dakota, Davis, Rock City and Rock Grove from 1:00-4:00pm in the upstairs space.

Monday, May 19 - Historical Society’s regular monthly meeting at 6:30pm.

Tuesday, May 20 - Bingo at 6:30pm! Free to play, with prizes for the winner of each round. And birthday cake at the end!
