Blackfriars Theatre Blackfriars Theatre is a mid-sized professional theatre that has entertained audiences for 75 years in downtown Rochester, NY!

Blackfriars is proud to invite you to our theater located in Rochester's "Theatre Row" along Main St. We are now in our 72nd season of providing quality theatrical entertainment to the Greater Monroe County and Finger Lakes region. Blackfriars Theatre produces 7 theatrical productions each year (6 in our subscription series and 1 special summer show through our Summer Intensive program from young

artists). Our theatrical season starts each fall and runs through May. Our committed group of performers, technicians and volunteers are proud to bring live entertainment in the form of dramatic and musical productions to our local community in western New York.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?!

Cat Flint was a BT artist in 2021 when she played #13 in The Wolves. Although this cast never had the chance to have an audience Cat shares that she had an absolute blast being at Blackfriars and working with the team on that incredible play!

Now you’ll find Cat in Tennessee as a full time Singer Songwriter. You can see Cat playing in places such as Tootsies Orchid Lounge Residency, Tin Roof, Dierks, Bentleys Whiskey Row, Luke Combs Category 10, Riley Greens Duck Blind, or H***y Tonk Central. As we get ready for our final board meeting of the 2025-2026 Season tonight, we also celebrate the conclusion of an extraordinary chapter of leadership. Today, celebrate Mandi Lynn Griffith as she completes her glorious reign as President of the Blackfriars Theatre Board of Directors!

Throughout her tenure, Mandi has led with vision, integrity, generosity, and unwavering dedication to our mission. She has been a calm and steady guide through challenges, a passionate advocate for the importance of the arts, a thoughtful steward of our organization, and a source of encouragement and support for staff, volunteers, artists, and fellow board members alike. Her enthusiasm for Blackfriars Theatre is matched only by her innate kindness and generous spirit, and her leadership has helped strengthen our organization while keeping our focus firmly on the people and stories that make this art form and this theatre community so special.
