Dates: Typically third weekend in October (10/16-18, 2026) in Roanoke, Virginia. The Roanoke GO Outside Festival is an annual event to encourage healthy, active outdoor recreation. By combining the things outdoor enthusiasts love - camping, music, gear, races, and demos, and a beautiful outdoor setting. With two locations - Elmwood Park and Explore Park – GO Fest is a celebration of everything ou

tdoors. GO Fest is a partnership between the nonprofit Roanoke Outside Foundation, Roanoke Parks and Recreation, and Roanoke County Parks and Recreation. Thanks to our many sponsors including Anthem, Freedom First, Haley Toyota, Mast General Store, Member One, Carilion Clinic, City of Roanoke, Gentry Locke . . . just to name a few. This isn't your ordinary sit-in-your seat kind of event - you're encouraged to get involved. Walk around, touch gear, try stuff out, and above all, have fun. So bring your dog (on leash), listen to great local music, sample craft beer, demo a bike or SUP, pick up a new piece of gear, and a heck of lot more.

We are still flying high after the weekend's festivities and want to give a big thank you to everyone who helped make this year so spectacular!

We've got a couple timing changes to two of our pro shows to be aware of today (Sunday, 10/19)

ProtownBMX shows today will be held at:
1 PM & 3 PM (Don't miss your chance to see BMX legend Ryan Nyquist in action!)

Highline shows today will be held at:
11 AM, 12 PM, and 2 PM

We love seeing y’all enjoy the new bouldering wall at GO Fest! 🧗‍♀️

Remember, there are two ways to experience bouldering this weekend—the "Try It" side
and the "Sessions" side.
🪨 If you're trying bouldering for the first time, we recommend the "Try It" side to get a feel
for the sport and test it out. Don't be intimidated—routes on the "Try It" side are specifically designed for folks brand-new to bouldering!
🤘 If you're familiar with bouldering and want to try out the routes our setters prepared, the "Sessions" side is perfect for you! You can sign up now for a 30-minute session so you can enjoy your climbing time without feeling rushed. Each session is limited to 6 climbers,
so grab a group of friends to join you! (You can also show up at the wall and join a session if space is available. Sign up link is below).
👟 Climbing shoes and chalk will be available for anyone who needs it - or bring your own!

Remember, we're offering a FREE courtesy shuttle to the Adventure Outpost at Explore Park all weekend long! 🚐

The shuttle will leave the Festival Basecamp on the hour, and will leave the Adventure Outpost on the half hour. Please note: The shuttle is wheelchair accessible, but does not allow dogs or bikes!
