The countdown is on for Brandon’s Annual Legacy Labor Day Picnic! 🇺🇸
This Monday, our community comes together for more than great BBQ, strawberry shortcake, live music, raffles, crafts, and fun. We come together to help preserve one of Brandon’s most remarkable historic places, the Moseley Homestead, aka “The Nest,” built in 1886.
This picnic is the Timberly Trust’s main annual fundraiser, and every ticket, sponsorship, donation, and person who attends makes a difference. Funds raised help us meet required grant matches, cover ongoing maintenance and preservation needs, and strengthen community participation and fundraising capacity to compete for future grants and preservation funding.
We could not do this without the extraordinary businesses, families, and individuals who have stepped forward to support the Moseley Homestead.
Our Legacy Leaders are Auto-Owners Insurance and Odiorne Insurance Agency.
Our Community Champions are Winthrop, the Trudy Carey Family, Joe & Anne Garcia & Family, and Sunset Park Title Company.
Our Picnic Partners include In Memory of Paul & Katie Guagliardo, Mary Odum – Coldwell Banker Realty, the Rose Garcia Family, the Raymetta Stowers Family, Bill’s Prescription Center, Mike Campoamor, and Morgan Animal Hospital.
And a special thank-you to BubbaQue’s and the Florida Strawberry Growers Association for helping make our picnic meal possible!
Now we need YOU. If you care about history, preservation, strong communities, and protecting the places that tell our story, come spend Labor Day with us. Your attendance is one of the most meaningful ways you can support the future of the Moseley Homestead.
