Cinema Culturas Film Fest—Inland Empire is an annual film festival with various activities throughout the year. Our goal is to promote diversity and inclusion of All cultures, highlighting and the artistic, academic, and professional advancement of Hispanics and providing a forum for the richness and variety of cultures through contemporary Latino film and local stories. We showcase award-winning films, including feature-length films, documentaries, shorts, and animated films. Cinema Culturas also offers talks on education and health utilizing the visual dynamics of film as well as student film workshops to local youth led by professionals in the film industry and various storytelling and film competition for students K-12

From discussing film techniques and career choices to profound topics like "favorite ice cream flavor," it has been a rewarding summer with our Riverside USD film interns. As a mentor, I keep learning about how we all connect over dreams, what we want to do in life, and the little things that make us happy, like ice cream.
