Code of Ethics:

Here at Stuff and Things Art Studio And Supply our number one goal is to keep everyone safe. In order to help us achieve this goal, we ask that you please read and follow the Code of Ethics we have outlined below. Anyone who does not or can not follow the guidance set forth will be immediately asked to leave and not return until they are willing to follow the guidance listed b

elow.

1. Everyone will be treated as equals in accordance with the city, county, state, federal laws and general common sense. A lack of knowledge of set laws or common sense is not an excuse. Anyone caught violating these conditions will be asked to leave the premises.

2. If you can’t say something nice then, don’t say anything at all. Just think before you speak. It is really very simple.

3. We strive to keep a calm and productively creative atmosphere. Questions and concerns are a normal part of life. We urge you to voice your thoughts and opinions. Just keep it nice and polite.

4. Sometimes there are moments that cause for disruption. Whether it be children or adults, sometimes things happen. We ask that you attempt to keep the disruptions at a minimum, if possible. However, we do understand that not all disruptions can be controlled. All we ask is that, you please refrain from damaging, throwing, or breaking anything. Also, if you need assistance or a silent space to regroup just ask. We will do our best to accommodate the needs brought to our attention.

5. Accidents happen. Whether it be a happy little mistake, or a big catastrophe; we can always replace the material objects. We can not replace you. So, please be safe! If something breaks, ask for assistance. If something is out of reach, ask for assistance. If its sharp, don’t touch it. If it’s hot, don’t touch it. If your sensitive to a product, don’t use it. Again, use your common sense.

6. Please be kind to the supplies and our space. We would like to keep our studio readily available for use to anyone. Please keep walk ways clear of debris. Please only use what you need.

7. Vandalism or theft of any kind will not be permitted. Any sign of either of the two, you will be connected with the local authorities before you even know you were caught. We are a very sneaky and observant group of artists, beware.

8. Don’t run with supplies in hand. DO NOT RUN ANYWHERE INSIDE OF THE STUDIO.

9. Obscene or vulgar gestures, language, demonstrations, images, or arts and crafts of any kind will not be permitted on studio grounds. You are welcome to your thoughts and opinions however; we have a significant number of children and sensitive adults who come and go from our studio. We do not want to offend or make anyone feel uncomfortable at any point in time.

10. No need to dress to impress. However, if you plan to paint or craft be sure that what you are wearing is not a one-of-a-kind, super expensive or irreplaceable item that you may damage. This includes all other personal belongings. This is an art studio. If you enter the creative areas, you will come out wearing some of that creativity.

11. Weapons, drugs (legal or not), or violence of any kind will not be permitted. This is a family friendly environment. Keep it clean!

12. Smoking is not allowed inside of the building. If you are a smoker, you must be at least 50 feet from this (or any other store front) entrance. We did not make up this rule. It’s the law.

13. We do not have designated parking. All parking out front is public parking. Park at your own risk. Do not leave any valuables inside your vehicle. By the way, did you lock your vehicle? Double check it!

14. Marijuana may be legal in the state of California however; it is not legal for it to be smoked, distributed, or inside our building in any way shape or form. Sorry guys.

15. Alcohol is not permitted inside our building. Some special events with specialized catering do allow for alcohol. However, outside of those special events it is not allowed.

16. Do not utilize doors or cabinets marked as “Do Not Enter,” “For Employee Use Only,” “Private,” or “Out Of Order.” If it has been marked as a designated do not use or open item, do not utilize it. Otherwise, you will be asked to leave.

17. Please keep your work stations in order as much as possible.

18. Only utilize designated work stations.

19. Do not touch other peoples’ arts or crafts. The only exception to this rule is if you are aiding a child in your group or, someone has asked for your assistance.

20. Do not interrupt our instructors. If you have a question for them, raise your hand and, quietly wait for them to call upon you.

21. Keep your paints and crafts to yourself. We do not paint our neighbors!

22. It is your responsibility to protect your arts and crafts, not ours.

23. If you are participating in a drawing/sketching class and you have a piece that is not finished you may, place it on your designated clipboard for safe keeping or take it home with you. If you take your art outside of the studio its safety and well being is no longer something we can take responsibility for.

24. If you leave your art here, only do so with permission.

25. If you leave you art here, please understand that we will do our absolute best to keep it safe. We do ask that you please keep in mind that events out of our hands may occur. Events like flooding, fire, theft, vandalism or any other number of things that could occur. Again, we will do our best to keep your art safe however, we can not and will not be held financially responsible for any damages that might take place.

26. If you create a piece of art or craft of any kind utilizing our products or space, we ask that you please tag us in any photos that you post on social media. You may do so by using &T or if using Facebook And Things Art Studio And Supply.

27. Finally, we ask that you please allow your creativity to go wild here. Enjoy yourself and respect those around you. There is no question regarding art or crafting that is inappropriate to ask. We are all furthering our knowledge every day. However, we can not do that if we do not ask questions.
