Ringwood Live Open Mic & Coffeehouse in NJ / New Jersey

Ringwood Live Open Mic & Coffeehouse in NJ / New Jersey We are a non-profit, live music event venue, open to all ages.

We are a once-a-month event hosted by a local church (they allow us use of the room) but we are not a "church thing"! We do raise funds for the Center for Food Action and other regional charities by having live music in the open mic and featured act formats - PLEASE check out the website for ALL the info. Our mission - We must prevent a generation of kids from growing up thinking guitars with colored buttons instead of frets are actually guitars.

Just a reminder - Ringwood Live is defunct!
We keep this page up for the fans and nostalgia value.
TONS of videos are still on the You Tube page to be seen.

Sorry folks....First person to even ask what's up in over a year
reminds me to let people know this page is just nostalgia for the
fan base!!!!

Ringwood Live went belly up due to lack of turnout .
But we remember fondly all the acts who did make the scene
and keep their videos on the You Tube page :)

WOW! Thanks for a killer night - all you who made the scene!
GREAT performances by Peter Sando, The Lost Patrol, The Sarahz
(oh sorry - The Vatrushka Trio) and The Tuna Twins. We had fun and made money for a good cause!

Thus ends a 5 year mission - The gear was loaded out into my trailer and towed into the night....

Our Story

We WERE a once-a-month event hosted by a local church (they allowed us use of the room) but were not a "church thing"! We did raise funds for the Center for Food Action and other regional charities by having live music in the open mic and featured act formats - PLEASE check out the YouTube page for may fine videos of the acts that appeared!

Our mission - We must prevent a generation of kids from growing up thinking guitars with colored plastic buttons instead of frets are actually guitars, and that skill comes from a can. We succumbed to the malaise of the region after too many shows with too few turning out. Sadly - Too many think an open mic night is about them breezing in, hitting the stage, playing their three songs and running out the door, rather than considering the event as an evening of live music - Which means STAYING for the DURATION to experience the efforts of OTHERS lending an ear, encouragement, and support.
