Can't wait to start putting up our shed!!! Yes the floor has taken waaaaaay too long - yes we may not get it done in time to avoid the next month's rent - yes the floor is janky as all get out - but no we are not discouraged....

Because the shed is a kit. If that's wonky it's officially not our fault! 😋

Plus kits are faster.....
Aren't they?

AREN'T THEY!?!?!?!?!?!

Not a project update: But important news nevertheless!

Our website is undergoing a bit of a makeover! So if you've been on it lately, or are planning on it shortly please be patient with us. 😅 It's that time of year again where we update, and adjust - but this year we have some fundamental changes as well prepping for our anniversary!

The current system we use for vendor registration, and for hiring employees has always been connected together online, but we're just too big for that anymore. It's time to separate them out, and restructure a few processes. Thankfully once we're done we shouldn't have to tweak and update little things every year anymore! It'll all be more fluid, and carry over better!

And because crap must always hit the fan at some point....

First we got rained out for the day. Then realized that the settled dirt from the rain unseated the bottom legs, so we had to redig and reseat three of them.

Next we started framing just for several boards to pop right off. After several minutes of fear and frustration that maybe we'd reset wrong and would have to dig the footing out for the third time we realized they were fine.

Turns out our boards were slightly warped, and we had the wrong screws to tighten them enough to straighten them out. In fact we had the wrong screws anyways because while they were the right type (deck screws) they were the wrong length for our joists.

But after a quick trip to three stores to find the right ones, we managed to get back to work. Hours of fidgeting later we were finally able to put the whole thing together.

Now the framing has everything in perfect tension and ready for the cement...

Hey progress is progress!
