I couldn’t resist hanging the 32” square “Beauty in the Mundane” piece in our living room. This piece has 180 hand cut pieces and is a pain in the you know what to paint. I don’t even want to admit how many hours are in this one! I just want to enjoy it for a little bit. I love watching how the lines and shadows change throughout the day. I wish I could take a picture at night with the lamp on - it’s pretty cool! If you want to enjoy this piece in your own home and watch the light play with the lines it’s still available!
A little update for the rest of the year. I will not be taking much at all for orders. I have a few more pieces to finish up and will hopefully share them with you here. I have a few pieces at the and . My job as mom has me working overtime this year

I’m finally getting a couple pictures taken before it’s all gone! A few favorites missing but I’m happy to send them off to appreciate homes! I’m on the North East Iowa Studio Tour today tomorrow and Sunday 10-5. My inventory is small and I’m still working on a few more framed vases. Just finished the 30x30 “Beauty in the Mundane” as customers were coming in this morning! I actually have had fun showing you all how the magic happens in my chaos! If you want to come see how it’s done and see some finished pieces find us at our shop on the tour! It’s gorgeous out - ENJOY 😊

It’s been almost 10 months but who’s counting? I have all the excuses in the world - and they are good but I won’t be getting into all that right now! Right now today I’m enjoying my little space at the Art Haus Collective in Decorah. I’m enjoying this space with other local artist. You won’t find me at any big shows this year - and this little space feels perfect right now! Find this spot on Winnebago street downtown Decorah! They are open Monday through Saturday 10-5.

Tomorrow is the day- Small Business Saturday at Pivo! I’m still setting up but I will be ready at 9 tomorrow! Shopping, drinks, music and food- I call that a perfect stop! Come see all of us from 9-4, we would love to see you!

That small piece of Skräp work you didn’t know you needed….

I have cut more vases for our small business Saturday event! I’m having fun drawing up more designs and finding some cool pieces of wood for the vases. They can be styled and paired so many different ways.

Quick photo dump as I finish prepping for todays kick off of the Northeast Iowa Artists’ Studio Tour! Come see me in my shop where I create everything! I put more energy into creating and not cleaning so please don’t judge!! I promise you though I was able to pull off some good pieces for the tour! Can’t wait to see you!

THANK YOU JUNKSTOCK! This show blew me away 10 years ago and each and every time it still does! It is such a joy to be able to still be a small part of this incredible show! And all I need to do is bring mini chippy ghosts and pumpkins and you are all so happy! I love going back to my roots for this show and being able to create with the old chippy wood. is where I started sharing all the chippy paint creations and I am joyed I can still do it. 👻✌🏻

One week and it will be the NEI artisan tour. You can come see me at my place. No guarentee the shop will be in order but I will have all the new pieces set up and ready to show! I am still finishing up more rounds, relief art and these little wooden vases! I have had fun making these in all sorts of fun shapes! I kinda want to keep them all!!! Until then come see us at this weekend with all the rustic things I started Skräp work with!!
