One thing about The Black Girl Market, I never wanted it to be a place where you just walk in, shop a few tables, and head back out.

I wanted it to feel like an actual girls' day out. Somewhere you could discover a new business, sit down for a beauty refresh, pick out something cute, take some pictures, and just enjoy being in a space created with us in mind.

And seeing women do exactly that at our past markets has been one of my favorite parts of bringing TBGM to life.

We're getting together again December 13 for Winter with the Girls, and we're bringing back some of the experiences you loved, along with plenty of opportunities to find gifts for everybody on your list (including yourself 😂).

One of the things I've always believed is that supporting Black women in business has to be about more than telling each other we're proud. We have to show up for each other in ways that actually make a difference.

And I know we can't buy everything from everybody. I know we're all watching our dollars, especially around the holidays. But I also know how easy it is to spend money with businesses we've never thought twice about, while there's a woman right here in our community creating something beautiful, working hard to build something of her own, and hoping somebody gives her a chance.

That's a big part of why The Black Girl Market means so much to me. I get to bring these women into a room where people can discover them, meet them, hear their stories, and hopefully fall in love with something they've created. And every time I see a guest walk away excited about a purchase or a vendor light up because somebody chose to shop with her, I'm reminded of why I keep doing this.

As we get ready for the holiday season, I want us to be a little more intentional. Maybe one of the gifts on your list comes from a woman you meet at The Black Girl Market . Maybe you discover a business you continue supporting long after December. Maybe you bring someone who's never experienced what we're building here.

Because to me, Our Dollars. Our Community. isn't just a cute saying for a graphic. It's something I genuinely want us to put into practice.

Something shifted for us after this last Market.

We realized that if The Black Girl Market is going to keep growing, we need to know more than whether you had a good time.

We want to know what you buy.

What you’re curious about.

What brands you love.

What you want to try.

Where you travel.

How you take care of yourself.

And what you want us to bring into this experience next.

Because Year Two shouldn’t be built on assumptions.

It should be built around the women actually showing up.

One of my favorite parts of building each Black Girl Market is deciding what the girls get to discover next.

So yes, some of our favorites come back.

But we’re also intentionally holding space for businesses our guests haven’t met yet.

For Winter, at least 10 vendor spaces are being reserved for new vendors because every Market should give you something new to find, taste, try, wear or fall in love with.

Vendor applications are open now.

We’re reviewing applications this week and public approvals begin October 12.

Fall gave us EVERYTHING. 🥹💗

And now we get to do it all over again.

Winter With The Girls is officially in motion and we’re already working on the vendors, experiences and little details that make The Black Girl Market feel like more than somewhere you came to shop.

Because at this point, y’all already know.

You come to shop.

Then somehow you’re taking pictures, trying something new, meeting somebody, finding a new favorite business and looking up wondering how you’ve been there for three hours. 😂
