It is with both regret and excitement that I must announce after directing four states for the Mrs. United States Pageant, I have resigned as a state Director. I will always love Isabella Ilacqua and what her system has brought to so many, however upon much reflection Majestic Productions USA have decided to go in a new direction. Our website will be updated soon with prizes and details but we will keep up our page honoring our reigning state queens until the new ones are crowned as they have worked very hard and we could not be more proud of the women who joined the Class of 2015.
I will still be available for coaching others to succeed in this pageant as it was a wonderful experience for me, but my desire is to put all my directing skills and effort into growing The Atlantic Shores system into all it can be. Whereas the Mrs United States pageant requires now a mandatory 33% interview/swimsuit/gown scoring platform, Atlantic Shores is based upon a 50% interview, 25% each fashion and gown split, one more in keeping with my personal value system. I am LDS and I do not think the swimsuit portion is necessary. Though I am willing to compete in one if demanded, I do not want it as a *requirement* that could eliminate worthy winners from my own system. I will never ask them to appear in a bikini to promote their crown.
I envision a pageant that is designed to prepare young girls and women starting out in competition to enjoy and succeed in pageantry for years to come. Our goal is to prepare contestants of all ages--by practice and reward--for the bigger titles they have as their ultimate aim or to be the vehicle by which they can promote their platform and themselves if that is their main desire. Due to exclusivity contracts, if I remain as a director for United States I cannot compete myself nor run any similar systems so I must follow my heart. I will likely compete well into my Senior America years and I make no apologies for that! ☺ State franchises require an astounding amount of monetary investment—I was in for over $12,000 my one year of production--which I feel will pay tenfold dividends if invested in my own vision of a pageant designed for the individuals I MOST wish to reach. I still highly recommend the Mrs. United States pageant as a glamorous experience, one that I will treasure forever and will continue to successfully coach others to prepare for.
We will be taking Miss Atlantic Shores into it’s fifth anniversary year with a family friendly beachside venue in Virginia Beach in early fall 2016. State titles will be offered and I will be putting my investment into the original gorgeous custom logo banners, fabulous crowns and great learning experience we first came out with. In addition I will be adding a separate (but adjacent day) children’s pageant for Baby through Junior Miss with larger glitz type crowns but the same banners as their Teen through Mrs. & Ms. sisters. My goal is to make this a FUN vacation type venue event that gives scores and full feedback, a guaranteed FAIR pageant that is both educational and exciting.
We want to provide the opportunity for contestants to represent their state if desired to promote a cause as a titleholder while they prepare for the regional title. This will allow the pageant to be something the whole family can enjoy, whether visiting or competing, and develop into the type of annual event that everyone looks forward to entering year after year.
***Details on the venue location and exact date (likely late Sept/early Oct) will be forthcoming. Fees will remain the same for Teen through Mrs & Ms. at $295 and we will have fees for the Baby though Junior Miss at $195. State titles (embroidered banners) are $99 additional.
Please contact us directly at [email protected] if you are interested in entering and applying for a state title or PM us your email and address to be added to our Early Bird mailing list.
