Emerging from the Commonwealth’s subversive arts culture comes, RVA Central, a monthly roast dedicated to all things RVA. Underground creatives, Lipstick RVA and Rich Girls Comedy are setting out to make RVA Central a dark horse in local entertainment. Inspired by iconic shows like SNL, Portlandia & In Living Color – this show will be a variety show that pays tribute to our fair city through live
sketches, improv, dance & music. Stripped down of all pomp & circumstance, RVA Central, promises audiences a raw, gritty, off-color look at the things that make RVA… RVAtastic. From on-going issues to successes, Carytown to Short Pump, Watermelon fest to Bacon fest, hipsters to politics & history – these 10 creatives are combining forces to produce the ultimate Richmond love letter. Each month a new guest host & musical act will be chosen to join the onstage RVA love fest. Invited guest artists will be up & coming influential members of the local commerce, arts & entertainment scenes. RVA Central is an outlet for Lipstick and Rich Girls Comedy to take pride in the city’s thriving community while fostering their artistic talents.
