Celebrate the Magic of the Season at "Christmas in the Bend" – A Two-Day Extravaganza in Richmond, TX
RICHMOND, TX – November 17, 2023 – Get ready to experience the enchantment of the holiday season as Richmond, TX transforms into a winter wonderland for the much-anticipated "Christmas in the Bend" event. This two-day celebration starting Friday, December 1, with the City of Richmond Tree Lighting, immediately followed by the Community Christmas Walk, and continuing through Saturday, December 2, with Miracle on Morton Street, promises to be your small-town Christmas dream come true.
The festivities kick off on Friday night, December 1 at 6:00pm with the City of Richmond Tree Lighting ceremony, a heartwarming event that marks the official start of Christmas in the Bend. Gather with friends, family, and neighbors as the community comes together to witness the dazzling lights adorning the town's centerpiece. The joyous occasion is immediately followed by the much anticipated 5th Annual Community Christmas Walk, an immersive holiday experience that takes advantage of the one-of-a-kind, walkable, historic streets of Downtown Richmond. The Community Christmas Walk will continue through 9:00pm on Friday evening and boasts over 27 participating Richmond merchants and landmarks, including the City of Richmond's First Friday Farmer's Market & Movie in the Park, live music performances, s'mores roasting, photo opportunities, local high school choirs in the Old Courthouse rotunda, holiday shopping, a community gingerbread house contest and so much more!
The festive spirit continues on Saturday, December 2, from 10:00am-5:00pm with the daytime event, "Miracle on Morton Street." Brace yourself for a day filled with holiday cheer, live entertainment, and activities for all ages including a Christmas Market and a visit and photo opportunity with Santa. Stroll down Morton Street, where the charming shops and storefronts will be adorned with twinkling lights and decor, and don't forget to cast your vote for the "People's Choice" winner of the community gingerbread house contest.
