Freedom Classic Festival Celebrating the rich legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the Civil Rights Movement and HBCUs! and the legacy of the Civil Rights movement.

The Freedom Classic Festival was originally formed in 1996 to acknowledge and commemorate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Teaming with two historically black universities–Virginia State University and Virginia Union University–the Freedom Classic Festival has grown into more than just a basketball game.

To enhance the fan experience, game times for this weekend’s Freedom Classic Festival have been updated:
🕐 Doors Open: 1 PM
🏀 Women’s Game: 2 PM
🏀 Men’s Game: 4 PM
