If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that recently, I’ve undergone a bit of a rebrand!

Allow me to formally introduce Concerning Cosplays: Original Characters From Familiar Places!

What is “Concerning Cosplays”?

Named after the opening song in the Fellowship of the Ring “Concerning Hobbits”, Concerning Cosplays is a love letter to Tolkien’s work, and to the rolling green hills and mist shrouded forests of Middle Earth.

It is a love letter to my inner child—that little boy who used to make mud potions and hunt faeries in his backyard; who never stopped believing in magic, and stood defiantly for his right to do so.

It is a love letter to my father—a man who I’ve not always had the easiest relationship with, but whose own love of fantasy and the stories he told me when I was young filled my world with monsters, magic, and excitement.

I hope you’ll continue following alongside me, friends.

The road goes ever on after all, and my adventure has only just begun!

On Wednesday evening at RVA Faerie Federation’s Seelie event and Oak King Mead release at Black Heath Meadery, I presented our Seelie Queen, Faerie Antoinette, with an official proclamation of our friendship and alliance as protectors of the natural world and defenders of the light of hope! 🌞🦋✨

It’s been a weird but whimsical year so far, and I’m looking forward to making even more magic and spreading joy with you all in the months ahead!
