This Saturday, June 3rd is the Sherburne Pageant of Bands. Come on out to support our band students and enjoy the day's events! Anyone wanting to help with refreshments (cold drinks and snacks) for the kids, please let us know. The kids really look forward to that boost and it helps them stay hydrated, nourished and focused for the day. Come on! Be a Booster for the day!

Last night, a small reception to kick off the NYS Youth Art Month Exhibition was held at the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts in Little Falls, New York. If you've never been to this local gallery, you are missing a wonderful and intimate venue.

The pieces currently on display were created by local students in an array of mediums. The Exhibition will run through March 14th. Richfield Springs students are among those with artwork on display. Most of the pieces are for sale to the public although some of the artists may be reluctant to part with their work.

Richfield Springs' own, Maura Buck, BreAnne Dye and Dan Marrone, their art teacher, were present at the reception and, by the end of the evening, Maura's painting "Blue #2" was the first piece to have a "Sold" sticker placed next to it. Congratulations Maura!

The concert was fabulous! These students were truly gifted in their performance! I experienced the full gamut of emotions during the hour long performance and enjoyed their easy and joyous connection with the guest director. This group is the best of the best! So proud of Maura Buck for being a part of this event!

Today's performance exceeded all expectations! Beautiful concert hall, welcoming atmosphere and attendants, and the most amazing performance I've ever experienced!

Julie Smith and Maura Buck arrived safely in Rochester today for this year's NYSSMA All State Conference. Richfield Springs is well represented! Have a great time, ladies! Concert this Sunday.
