๐ŸšœFarm Safety๐Ÿšœ Ag in the classroom for 325 students in 1st, 3rd and 5th grades today! Students learned how to avoid harm on the farm and the many dangers that could arise around livestock, machinery, ATVs, chemicals and grain storage. Students also learned the importance of following warning/safety signs and how a combine operates. We would like to give a BIG thank you to Bane-Welker Re*****on, Castongia of Rensselaer and Plevna Implement of Rensselaer for the generous donation of prizes and giveaways for the students and also Kohlhagen Farms for bringing in a combine. Just remember, when you get stuck behind that 'slow moving vehicle sign'- be patient and thank a farmer ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿผโ€๐ŸŒพ

Jasper County Farm Bureau would like to extend a final expression of gratitude in recognition of Ag in the Classroom Volunteer Week by honoring Stacy Walker.

Stacy is a dedicated mother of four, a successful business owner, and an active member of the Farm Bureau Womenโ€™s Leadership Committee. In addition, she serves as an outstanding volunteer for our Ag in the Classroom program.

With her extensive experience in agriculture and farm living, Stacy brings both energy and real-world insight to each lesson, creating an engaging and meaningful learning experience for adults and students. Stacy represents a member of our community with a heart to serve others.

Next, as part of our Jasper County Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom Volunteer Week, we are proud to recognize Marie McKaig Kohlhagen.

A dedicated mother of four, Marie brings both professional expertise and real-world experience to the classroom. With a teaching degree and a strong agricultural background from living and working on an active, productive farm, she provides students with meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities.

This school year alone, Marie has had nearly 800 students interactions, developing engaging lessons that connect agriculture to everyday life and inspire curiosity among youth. We are grateful for her commitment and the positive impact she continues to make in our program.
