We are Chris and Kayla, the mom and daughter behind Little Lupine Bakery. As two life-long bakers, we have spent many years in the kitchen (a combined total of over 70 years!) trying new recipes, wrecking them, and refining them. Baking has always been our way of sharing ideas and connecting with each other. After many years of toying with the idea of selling our baked goods—instead of giving them

away for free to our friends and family—we finally decided to open our home bakery in January 2023. We strive to provide you with delicious, high-quality scones, bread, and treats that feel and taste homemade. Whenever we can, we look to use fresh, natural, and locally sourced ingredients. Since we often use recipes that have been in our family for many years, it helps to keep our ingredient lists as short as possible. We hope our baked goods make you feel warm and fuzzy and a bit nostalgic for simpler times.

Hi, Kayla here (the daughter half of LLB) with an update. So, a few days ago, my mom fell and “broke her ass” (AKA bruised her tailbone pretty bad.)

While she is resting and recovering, we will have to put couple of things on hold temporarily until she is better. This is only a two-woman operation after all—so half of our crew is out!

We won’t be able to make it to the market this Sunday (3/22), but we’re hoping I can bake next week and make it to the market on the 29th.

Since my expertise is not with sweet breads, we most likely won’t have breads available for the next two weeks. (They’ve temporarily been taken off of our website, as well.) However, we will still have our scones, cookies, and jams available for pre-order on our website and at the market!

We appreciate your understanding and we hope to be back to our usual operations ASAP!🤞

We are finishing up the last of our holiday orders for the year today. As 2025 is quickly coming to a close, we just wanted to say a huge thank you for supporting our little bakery!

Whether you support us by finding us at on Sundays, placing orders on our website, liking our posts on social media, spreading the word about us to your friends and family, or just saying a kind word: Little Lupine Bakery would not be possible without your support.

2025 was our third year in business. We have continued to steadily grow in a way that is sustainable for us. In case you’re new around here, our bakery is completely ran by just the two of us. That includes all of the baking, canning, showing up to markets, financial planning, marketing, advertising, sourcing ingredients, inventory, grocery shopping, graphic design, photography, etc. etc. etc...

One of the questions we often get is asked is, “When are you going to open a storefront?” Our answer is usually something along the lines of... “Not anytime soon.” 😅 We stay small for a reason. It’s important to us to ensure that our items are both high quality and made from scratch in small batches. Every single one of our items are handmade by the both of us.

So, the fact that we can make a living off of making cookies in our kitchen because of all of you is quite mind-boggling! We sincerely appreciate the support you all have shown us over the years and we look forward to delivering you more tasty treats in 2026.

We will be taking the next few weeks off to enjoy a much needed winter break. We’ll let you know when we’re back sometime in January 2026!
